All about fillers

Discover our dermal fillers injection service and how it can help you with your wrinkles, adding volume to specific areas of your face like lips, and reducing the appearance of dark areas under the eyes

What are fillers?

Learn more about filling agents, often called by their English name ‘fillers’

Enhanced, smoothed, and plumped skin.

Dermal fillers each have a specific use, whether it’s smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines, restoring volume to a specific area of the face, or reshaping the lips.

The products are made with hyaluronic acid and lidocaine. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring complex sugar in the body that contains collagen and elastin, which are responsible for firm, plump, and youthful-looking skin. Hyaluronic acid also provides continuous hydration to maintain well-contoured skin while protecting it from external aggressors. In fact, hyaluronic acid also has the effect of filling the spaces between cells to maintain the smooth and radiant appearance of the skin.

2. Appointment at the clinic

The consultation session with the healthcare professional allows you to specify the areas you want to treat and the desired results following the treatment. During this initial meeting, the healthcare professional will take the time to assess your health and gather information to ensure that the filler injections are suitable for you, and will take the time to determine the future injection points using a makeup pencil. The professional will then inject the filler under the skin using a fine needle.

You can then resume your activities and see immediate results after your treatment.

3. Following the visit

After treatment, it is possible to feel itching, slight pain, tingling, or numbness. Redness or bruising, swelling, or discoloration at the injection site may occur. In some cases, these side effects may occur after treatment or some time later and may last up to 7 days. If side effects persist beyond 7 days, we advise you to contact our team or your regular healthcare professional.

Following your injection session, a member of our team will follow up with you by phone to ensure your satisfaction and answer your questions.

The healthcare professional will start by disinfecting the treated area before administering the injection. Since the filling products contain lidocaine, an analgesic, this helps to reduce patient discomfort during treatment. The healthcare professional may also apply a topical anesthetic to the area to be treated before administering the treatment.

The duration of a treatment varies depending on the number of injections required to achieve the desired result by the patient. Typically, this can take between 30 minutes and 1 hour.

Some people may experience redness or swelling around the injection site. The majority of people can resume their daily activities on the same day.

The treatment is customized according to the goals and needs of the patient. The healthcare professional will determine the appropriate treatment based on the targeted areas.
