Dr. Doyon holds a master’s degree in Molecular Biology as well as a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences in addition to being qualified as a general surgeon in 2012 by the faculty of the University of Montreal and certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons from Canada. She practiced for three years in a high-volume hospital center on the south shore of Montreal before reorienting her practice as a emergency surgeon in a remote region, where she was able to broaden her range of knowledge in general surgery. She was responsible for teaching medical residents and lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University.

Dr. Doyon now wants to turn to a more humanist quality medicine, one that listens to patients and is based on a relationship of trust between her patients and herself.

Dr. Caryne Lessard has been practicing general surgery for nearly 20 years. She is certified by the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Canada (CRMCC) and graduated from Laval University. She also completed 2 master’s degrees: one in medical education (simulation) and the other in health administration (IHML). This allowed him to improve his skills and knowledge in order to better help the medical community and its patients

Throughout her career, Dr. Lessard has served on various committees of the Royal College, she was a member of the practice improvement committee at the College and was part of the organizing committee of the annual Canadian Medical Simulation Congress (SimSummit ) for several years. Simulation is an important tool for training new doctors but also for improving the skills of doctors in practice. Recently, she participated in the creation of several workshops and educational materials for health professionals at the CMPA* as well as presented at numerous pan-Canadian conferences. She has also been a lecturer at UMcGill and UOttawa.

Since 2022, Dr. Lessard has left her practice in a high-volume regional hospital to begin a new part of her career in the private sector. This allows him to take the necessary time with his patients and provide them with better service. A more human, collaborative and personalized service.
